Once your order has been placed, you will receive an automatic email confirmation detailing your order. From this point onwards it it not possible to change or cancel your order. We immediately begin the admin work behind the build and incur cost from ordering the parts required for builds. If you wish to charge any parts you will be liable for the cost of the new parts along with an admin fee. The standard turnaround time for any custom handmade timepiece is approximately 4 to 8 weeks - please remember that this is approximate, it can vary either way depending on various factors that are out of our control, we always do our upmost to ensure watches are complete and shipped out as quickly as possible. 

We do not provide ongoing updates, due to the volume of orders we received on a monthly basis it would be a full-time job in itself, also  there really aren’t any, once your order is placed, we then source any parts that are required and they included in our next stock order. Once all parts are received we then schedule the build and complete as quickly as possible. We then monitor the Watch for at least 24 hours and then book the collection for shipping, this is when you will receive the tracking details via email.  

So, in summary, you will receive an order confirmation email automatically as soon as you place your order and then the next time you’ll hear from us will be with the tracking details because your watch has been complete and is ready for shipping.

Due to the volume of orders received monthly basis we politely ask that clients refrain from continuously sending emails asking how the build is coming along etc as we really do not have any specific information other than parts ordered or watch dispatched. Also, we are a small business and will always reply to any email received when possible. Sending further emails or Instagram DMs which are simply “??????” Does not change when we are able to reply, and does come across unbelievably rude. 

We love to communicate with our clients regarding the design of their new watch and so forth, but we do kindly ask that you allow us to do our job when an order has been placed as, when we receive unnecessary or un-required emails it takes time away from us being able to actually build watches and has a knock on effect to all clients who are patiently waiting. 

Rest assured, we have sold over 2000 watches today’s and although shopping online can be daunting we take great pride in what we do and you will receive exactly what you order. We have a great after sales service if you have any questions about how to use your watch etc once it has arrived, but we do ask during the approximate 4 to 6 week period required to create your bespoke, custom, handmade timepiece, that we are left to do so. Answering numerous emails asking for updates slows the process down for every client as we have to spend time replying . 

We are very proud of what we do and, there are not many Watch modders like us who have been running consistently for almost 5 years and take great pride in the work we do and, although we may not always be offering the cheapest watches available - remember, cheap does not mean better. Some of our client have over 10-15 JayJMods watches in their collections. 

Please take into consideration, when purchasing a custom item made by hand, it’s special experience. We have had clients contacts explaining that they made the poor decisions of purchasing a watch to merely save £20, ended up paying a £50 import charge, and the watch stopped working a week after it arrived and the seller ignored all of their emails and blocked them on social media - now the company no longer exists. 

If price is such a concern then maybe we are not the company for you, but if you’re looking for a well-made, high-quality watch with the backing of a warranty that will be in place and in the unlikely event of any issue we will still be trading and able to resolve in line with the terms of the warranty.

As with any product, you get what you pay for. We stand by the quality of our products and the service and firmly believe our prices are incredibly fair and truly believe that JayJMods are the best in the business. We are not “hobby modders” building in our spare time to try and make some extra money, we take what we do seriously and run a proper business. The service we offer and the warranty that is actually worth the paper it is written on. 

We are aways happy to help and respond to every email we receive, we simply ask that you allow us the time stated to do our job and also ask for common courtesy when reaching out. 

Customers may receive a 5% discount code when they subscribe to the free JayJMods email newsletter. Once subscribed a discount account will be emailed to you which can be used by the named subscriber when placing an order for any full priced watch.

** CANNOT BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANY OTHER OFFER OR CODE** This discount code can only be used against orders of a full priced watch / watches listed in the JayJMods online store and cannot be used to discount any watch that is already part of any sale / promotion being carried out at the time of purchase.

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply in the recipients country. JayJMods is not responsible for delays due to custom or the postal service.

If a parcel is returned to us due to non collection from your local post office or otherwise, you will be charged the full cost to re ship and an admin fee. If you are sending a watch to us from outside the UK it must be marked as a “return for repair” so that import duty is not charged. JayJMods has already paid where applicable import, customs fees and VAT on our materials and parts to build our watches. Any charges will result in us refusing the delivery and the parcel being returned to you. 

We ship internationally via Parcel Force and Royal Mail and follow their guidelines for “lost parcels”. A parcel is not considered “lost” until 25 works days plus the original quoted shipping time (7 working days) has elapsed. Once the tracking number has been provided JayJMods have no additional information relating to the tracking or delivery time. Once a parcel is shown as delivered JayJMods can take no responsibility and any queries must be taken up by the client with their local post office or courier themselves. Proof of delivery will confirm delivery  time. 

Please note that mockups created for custom dials are a guideline only. The dial makers will create a dial as close as possible to the mockup agreed upon, however some colours may vary. Although every care is taken to ensure that as much detail is included as possible, there may be some simplifications made.

Please be aware that the entire dial is 2.8 cm in diameter. When working on enlarged mockups it is easy to forget that the final logo size is usually around 0.5 cm.

All of our watches are brand new and made to order, built with pride by our small, dedicated team of watchmakers.

When you receive your watch, in the unlikely event of an error with the design (eg dial colour, hands, bracelet choice etc) you must contact JayJMods via email within 24 hours whilst the watch is “new and unworn” so that it can be returned to us for the necessary changes to be made and sent back to you. Removal of any stickers / resizing of bracelets / any sign of the watch being worn or tried on may mean that we are unable to make certain changes without a charge being incurred. 

We use only genuine, original movements, with Seiko and aftermarket products, to design and craft beautiful homages, standout custom builds, or unique 1/1 pieces. Images are for illustration purposes and colours etc do vary slightly depending on the device you’re viewing the image on and the photo lighting / editing etc. Dial colours are explained in each listing - for standard dials (unless otherwise stated), the actual dial may vary depending on stock / availability etc. For example, a “Black Dial” may be sunburst or matte and the text above the 6 o’clock position may vary depending on stock and availability. If you require or would prefer a specific dial please contact us prior to purchasing as once a watch has been built you will incur a cost to cover a new dial and labour costs if you ask for the dial to be changed.

We are UK based but are happy to ship worldwide and take great pride in the knowledge that our small business has created time pieces that are being worn all over the world.

Customs and import taxes

Customers are responsible for ensuring the correct address is provided during checkout. JayJMods Ltd accepts no responsibility for parcels that do not arrive or are lost due to an incorrect address being provided by customers. If a parcel is returned to JayJMods for any reason including incorrect address or customers not collecting from when asked to by the delivery company then the customer is liable to cover the cost of re shipping. Refunds are not available and if the cost of re shipping is not paid by the customer they forfeit the total cost of the order. 

As with most watch brands, we do not recommend swimming/bathing in any modified watch (including bathing/showering/submerging in water). These are precious, unique pieces and do not need to be exposed to water. For this reason we do not guarantee water resistance but all required rubber gaskets are in place and the cases are fully tightened.

** PLEASE NOTE: you are purchasing a handmade, bespoke item, built to order. For this reason, we do not accept refunds or returns.**

All timepieces come with a 12 month warranty which covers the movement only. We include warranty paperwork with each watch, we recommend that you read this thoroughly. 

The term ‘JayJMods Ltd’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is 129 High Street, Prestatyn, LL19 9AS. Our company registration number is 13916076. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.
